Responsibilities
Supervise Designers and Senior Designers on their day-to-day responsibilities, providing guidance and support as needed.
Oversee the distribution and production of project workload within the Design team, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Engage in troubleshooting and provide expert advice on design and customer challenges.
Collaborate on new design issues and projects with the team, contributing to the overall creative direction and strategy.
Negotiate scope-of-work, deliverables, and pricing with customers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets.
Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Lead team members in the production of Design deliverables, including full food service construction documents, field documents, and manuals.
Review design changes submitted to ensure projects remain within budget and meet quality standards.
Manage and maintain recordkeeping of original artwork files and projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Ensure the design process follows all customer and company policies and regulations, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
Determine the need for the use of outside assistance or vendors, coordinating their involvement as necessary to support project requirements.
Participate in departmental strategic planning initiatives, contributing insights and recommendations to support departmental goals and objectives.

Required
Associate's degree (or higher) in design, food service, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
10+ years' experience in a lead designer role in the commercial food service industry.
Demonstrated knowledge in all aspects of commercial food service design and project types (education, hospitality, restaurants, etc.).
Proven ability and experience as a Design subject matter expert.
Team management and leadership experience.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
Preferred
Demonstrated experience with Autodesk software including AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
Experience in utilization of MS Office Suite, Adobe, Sketch-up, and AutoQuote360.
