Responsibilities

Engineer, develop, release, continuously improve, and set Component Technical Specification (CTS) for GM Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) battery high voltage (HV) charging inlet assemblies including low voltage and HV wiring and connectors (wiring harnesses), cooling tubes, charging receptacle, and chassis mounted fasteners, using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Teamcenter Vismockup, and Engineering Change Management tools, in compliance with standards including SAE J1772 EV and PHEV Conductive Charge Coupler; Europe IEC 62196 Plugs, socket-outlets, vehicle connectors; China Guobiao GB/T 20234 charging standard; and Japan CHAdeMO fast charging system standards.
Write passenger vehicle CTS to define appearance, mechanical, electrical schematics, functional requirements including thermal performance, minimum rate of charge, operation efforts, flammability, modal frequency, communication standards, and validation for each component.
Engineer components to meet mass, weight and dimensions and provide data to Performance Engineer.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
Two (2) years of experience as an Engineer
Experience with engineering or releasing passenger vehicle low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) wiring and connectors (wiring harnesses) including chassis mounted fasteners, using Siemens NX and Teamcenter tools, or related
