Responsibilities
Performs detail design or product modeling/production information development
Prepares, revises and maintains plans, drawings and supporting technical data
Solves detail design problems with supervisory guidance, and may participate in problem analysis teams
Applies a sound knowledge of applicable design techniques and contract specification requirements
Represents company on official business as directed
Assumes additional responsibilities or performs varying work as working situations dictate
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Required
2-year Associate’s Degree (or equivalent)
5 years experience in detail design of ship structures or outfit systems (or 1 year experience plus BS degree)
Demonstrated competence within discipline, with knowledge of an individual process within discipline
Understands shipbuilding practices, producibility and build strategy concepts
Strong knowledge of product modeling or CAD and PC applications, AVEVA Marine preferred
Takes on responsibility for special projects as assigned
