Responsibilities

Plan, shape, design and produce layouts for National Geographic Magazine, bookazines, special issues, and National Geographic Kids

Commission illustrators and collaborate closely with the editorial and photography departments

Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience by mentoring and offering creative feedback and direction

Partner with the production department to color proof and ensure quality of product

Continuously communicate effectively with managers, peers, and other project stakeholders

Occasionally partner with the UX and interactive teams to develop innovative concepts for audiences
