Responsibilities

Perform preliminary design for energy storage standalone and hybrid projects including substation, transmission lines, and collection systems;

Create detailed initial layout designs for renewable energy plants;

Create in-house tools and templates for standardization, and reduce effort invested in repetitive tasks;

Manage development engineering standards, templates, workflows and processes;

Work with in-house developers and real-estate teams to validate prospective land parcels with respect to deployment of renewable energy plants;

Work with engineering team to develop 30% design sets to support early stage permitting efforts;

Work with engineering team to engage with 3rd party engineers performing permitting support, EPC and balance of plant design for Aypa’s projects;

Support planning and coordinating of internal and external resources for technical due diligence of renewable energy projects;

Work with project controls lead to identify value-add and profitability influencers through technical analysis and preparation of proposals for improved planning and technical requirements;

Work with the Procurement team to develop and issue request for proposals for engineering work, evaluate the submissions against technical requirements, and make recommendations on selection;

Work with Estimation team to perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for energy storage and/or PV projects;

Work with the Preconstruction team to advance projects through initial phases until limited or full notice to proceed is achieved;

Other duties as required or assigned.
