Responsibilities

Drive team to deliver clear and complete architecture documents including thorough consideration of API/CLI/GUI and dependencies prior to major development tasks

Gain detailed and thorough scoping for large items to ensure the best accuracy in forecasting delivery dates

Provide management guidance to a team of around ten engineers who work from their home offices in North America and Europe

Interface with product management to scope out deliverables from requirements

Work with an architect to provide input into roadmap planning activities

Report progress against plan to stakeholders

Collaborate with quality assurance representatives on test strategy, test execution and sustainability

Required

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.

5+ years of management of software development teams.

5+ years of project management experience

Strong team player with good communication skills and should be self-starter.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong oral and written communications skills.

Preferred

Knowledge of Parallel File Systems, in particular Lustre, is highly preferred.

Familiarity with both open source and proprietary development an advantage

Experience with globally distributed teams
