Responsibilities

Help the Team to support the cloud infrastructure and platforms that host critical applications.

Participate in Product Releases, prepare and initiate pipeline deployments and additional effort needed to support the platform and environment readiness.

Perform system administrative activities such as provisioning environments, backups, restores, security updates and issue resolution.

Assist with response to security events, service interruptions or other critical situations to re-establish system functionality.

Monitor, analyze, and respond to problem trends while assessing system capacity and recommending growth and optimization strategies.

Analyze system statistics and provide recommendations as needed. Familiarity with DataDog or other similar tools preferred.

Strong troubleshooting skills; conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures for service interruptions.

Collaborate effectively with Engineering, IT, and other teams to ensure high-quality software products and services.

Configure, debug, and support infrastructure platforms, and handle engineering, implementation, and maintenance tasks.

Provides estimates for work assignments. Writes and reviews documentation and/or procedures. Manages time against project plans.

Must participate in on-call service and respond to critical technical problems as required.

Required

Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field.

6+ years’ experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure in an enterprise environment, including SQL, IIS, AD, DNS

Extensive experience in recent versions of Microsoft IIS and Windows Server OS; 2016 through 2022.

Experience managing Linux Servers.

Strong Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.

Solid understanding of DevOps concepts, SDLC, CI/CD practices, and experience with AWS services, Lambda, Queues, and pipelines.

Must be proficient with Containerization technologies. K8 experience is a plus.

Support and Management of HA and DR solutions in AWS and Azure.

Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost reporting of cloud environments.

Proactively monitor cloud environments and databases, manage backups, maintenance jobs, and alerts, and develop action plans.

Strong Experience with PowerShell, Python or other common languages to support maintenance tasks, automation of releases and deployments.

Strong Knowledge of AWS RDS, SQL Managed Instance, Standalones and Clusters.

Troubleshooting SQL server connectivity problems and various errors as part of day-to-day maintenance of servers.

Skilled at analyzing complex functions, procedures, and problems to find creative, logical, solutions.

Self-directed, able to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects at a time under high-pressure and challenging situations.

Excellent organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Familiarity with DataDog or other similar tools.
