Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute product releases, ensuring timely and reliable deployment of software updates.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to plan and execute release schedules.

Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

Continuously optimize and enhance CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

Manage virtualized infrastructure, including VM provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.

Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure VM environments meet performance and scalability requirements.

Implement and maintain standard configurations for products, ensuring consistency and repeatability across environments.

Work closely with development teams to automate and streamline configuration management processes.

Administer and customize Jira to support agile development workflows and project management.

Train and support teams in the effective use of Jira for issue tracking, sprint planning, and reporting.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on product release and configuration management.

Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.

Proficiency in managing VM infrastructure and virtualization technologies.

Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).

Proficiency with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Familiarity with Jira administration and configuration.

Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.

Preferred

Certification in relevant DevOps tools or platforms.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN).

Mature the organization's cloud strategy, helping engineering teams migrate products and tooling to the cloud.

Promote the benefits of DevOps, establish processes and best practices for product release management, and seek opportunities to automate manual tasks.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
