Responsibilities
Define problems, design research studies, conduct qualitative and quantitative research and usability testing, evaluate findings and recommend evidence-based solutions.
Conduct UX research identifying the probable causes of digital service experience variances.
Conduct activities associated with running a usability study, such as recruiting and screening participants, scheduling sessions, and writing test plans and scripts.
Consult with product managers, business leads, and other UX team members to conduct research, present findings, and assist with decision-making.
Monitor, evaluate, and document the analysis and results of research studies and projects, and prepare final recommendations.
Support, design, monitor, and measure UX initiatives.
Collaborate and assist in the development of support and tools for implementing a common user experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
A 1-year probationary period is required.
Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
Undergo a review of prior performance/conduct and an income tax verification.
This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into 'Continuous Vetting.'
Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.

Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
The employment of any candidate, including a current employee or a new hire, selected for this position may be conditional upon classification and/or audit of federal tax returns.
Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
Specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service.
Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study such as research and/or statistics, psychology, or human-computer interaction at an accredited college or university.
Specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service.
Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study such as research and/or statistics, psychology, or human-computer interaction at an accredited college or university.
Specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
Meet applicable Time in Grade (TIG) requirements.
Current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate.
Submit a copy of your transcripts or equivalent.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
