Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial reporting activities related to the SFR business and fund.
Oversee the payroll function, inclusive of RSUs, options, and ESPP
Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, Joint Ventures, new products, revenue recognition, etc.
Maintain headcount and budgeting for SFR business.
Partner with the Tax team to manage the US tax returns and for the SFR business
Responsible for identifying and designing robust operational controls.
Assist with the implementation of new or emerging accounting pronouncements (ASC 606, ASC 842, etc.) and prepare technical memos as needed.
Partner with our SOX Director to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of adequate internal controls to safeguard our financial integrity
Ad-hoc support for the quarterly and annual Board of Directors
Work closely with the Treasury team on SFR-related financing facilities
Work with external and internal auditors on requests for assistance.
Work closely with the FP&A team on forecasts and modeling exercises.
Prepare audit schedules and interface with external auditors as necessary.
Assist with ad hoc projects and responsibilities as needed.
Qualification

Required
Degree in Finance or Accounting: CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.
8+ years of accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge of single family rental business
Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP and SEC Regulations.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Excellent computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred
CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.
Public accounting experience preferred.
