Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer in leading and developing the compliance team, providing guidance on compliance requirements, privacy considerations, and their impact on Datavant's operations, products, and services.

Help build and maintain partnerships across all Datavant teams, including legal, information security, product, engineering, business units, finance and the people team.

Support the expansion and continuous improvement of the compliance program to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Contribute to the development and implementation of Datavant's enterprise-wide compliance program.

Participate in internal compliance, data use, and other governance initiatives and committees to align compliance with Datavant's mission and strategies.

Collaborate with the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, risk assessments, and monitoring processes.

Assist in overseeing compliance risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and training programs to promote best practices.

Support product and innovation teams by providing compliance guidance

Help develop ongoing compliance and privacy training for the workforce.

Contribute to the management of security incident response and regulatory notifications in partnership with security and legal team colleagues.

Serve as a subject matter expert on Datavant’s compliance obligations and positions, providing clear and practical advice to senior leadership and various departments.

Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to support regulatory compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity needs.

Assist in translating compliance and regulatory requirements into practical advice that aligns with business priorities.

Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions to assess and ensure compliance and support integration of acquisitions into the enterprise compliance program.

Assist in leading and developing a high-caliber compliance team, setting high standards for performance and alignment with Datavant's culture.

Support budget management and resource allocation within the compliance function.

Consistently uphold and promote the highest standards for performance, communication, and organization.
