Responsibilities
Build and lead a high-performing team of experts in applications of AI for internal and external constituents.
Set governance standards, policies, and procedures for secure and ethical use of AI.
Collaborate with other analytical leaders to fulfill the strategic direction of the business through data exploration and research of emerging AI technologies.
Identify and manage existing and emerging risks associated with business activities.
Oversee the exploration of new technologies, analytical methods, and data sources.
Partner with enterprise analytical and IT teams to build core capabilities and processes.
Identify resource needs ranging from IT investments to additional analysts and developers.
Understand the business direction and strategies to recommend long-term solutions.
Use large and complex data sets to enable analytical solutions.

Required
Eight (8) years of experience in predictive modeling, large data analysis and data or computer science.
Three (3) years of direct management experience, preferably including with software/app development teams.
Extensive and recent experience in NLP and the design, development, evaluation, customization, application of LLM’s and multi-modal AI. Experience with a broad range of use cases and audiences for analytic and generative AI is preferred.
Expert in front-end language (JavaScript, CSS) and at least one compiled language (e.g., Java, C) and one dynamic scripting language (e.g., Python).
Experience in UI/UX design.
Strong track record of communicating results, insights, ideas, and technical solutions to Senior Executive Management (or equivalent) and to audiences with limited understanding of technical concepts in AI/ML.
Experience in data mining and wrangling and statistical analysis.
Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills.
Knowledge and application of data science principles and experience with data science methodologies.
Experience with the following statistical and predictive modeling approaches: Gaussian Process; Markov Models; Hierarchical Clustering; K-Means; Linear Regression; Logistic Regression; Monte Carlo Simulation; Neural Networks.
Deep technical skills, consulting experience, and business savvy to work with all levels and disciplines within our customers' organization.
Preferred
Knowledge in model performance evaluation techniques, metrics, and validations strategies (nested-cross-validation, etc.).
Expert in data visualization principles, techniques, and tools.
Expert in communicating concepts, proposals, ideas and results to key decision makers.
Expert in model testing, validation, and CI/CD techniques.
Knowledge and familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
Not be afraid of hard work and doing things smarter, taking initiative and providing leadership.
Experience with Vertex AI ML Ops platform or similar.
Experience with systems in the Education Space.
Experience in experimental design.
Experience in project and vendor management.
Experience with Agile methods and Azure DevOps software or similar.
