Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and management of Security projects from conception through deployment and handover.
Assist the InfoSec leadership with technical direction and vision for implementing the InfoSec strategy for WBD.
Lead a team of security engineers: You will manage a team of security engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure the successful implementation of security measures. You will also oversee the recruitment, training, and development of security personnel.
Manage and lead technical staff in accordance with WBD's policies and structures.
Approve actions on human resources matters, including salary and budget administration.
Collaborate with our corporate functions, including Internal Audit, Legal and Compliance, Privacy, and Sourcing, to ensure that WBD maintains a strong cybersecurity posture.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive vision and strategy for enterprise-wide security engineering initiatives in order to effectively and securely support the organization in meeting specific business technology needs.
Drive consideration of cybersecurity tools and datasets to enhance detective and preventive control sets.
Understand technical security issues and the implications to WBD businesses and be able to communicate them to management and other business leaders.
Understand emerging security technologies and determine the appropriate use within business applications.
Maintain and enforce WBD's cybersecurity policies, standards, baselines, and secure design documentation.
Maintain and enhance cybersecurity tools and ensure full adoptions and peak operational performance.
Develop and implement security engineering standards, procedures, and guidelines that ensure the security, reliability, and availability of the organization's systems and solutions.
Conduct security audits and assessments: You will regularly assess the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement.
Manage enterprise security tools (such as EDR, SIEM, VM Tools, Deception Technology, etc.); ensure availability and efficacy of tools, vendor and stakeholder engagements, continuous enhancements in the overall security coverages and tools operations, etc.

Required
A minimum of 7+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 4+ years in a security leadership role.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related discipline or 8+ years of previous technical experience, specifically security engineering and architecture experience.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of security engineers.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate within the context of the intended audience, whether that be senior executives or highly technical engineering resources.
5+ years hands-on experience in managing enterprise security tools such as Vulnerability Management Tools, Security Orchestration solutions, Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM), endpoint security tools, etc.
Driving continual operational excellence ensuring InfoSec provides great service to its internal customers.
Hands on technical experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks and how they affect architecture designs and reviews.
Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing security systems and solutions for large-scale and complex organizations.
Security certifications are a plus. (CISSP, CISM, CISA, SANS, Security+, etc.)
Experience leading a distributed team that provides 24/7 operational support and excellent service delivery is a plus.
This position requires the resource to be on-site at least three days a week in our Atlanta, DC, or Silver Spring office.
