Responsibilities

Provides direction and strategy for the Global Security & Compliance organization

Oversees the engineering of security solutions for corporate and retail environments

Manages Security project and operational budgets

Manages vendors, reviews and negotiates contracts, ensures deliverables are met

Builds and maintains strong relationships with business leaders and vendor partners

Manages a team of FTEs, contractors, and managed service partners

Plans and tracks Security & Compliance initiatives, ensures successful delivery on time and in budget

Optimizes processes and seeks opportunities for improvement and savings

Stays engaged with latest security technologies and methodologies

Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

Provides oversight, accountability, mentorship, growth opportunities, focusing on creating high-performing teams

Builds high-performing teams through development of team members and recruiting, hiring, managing, and mentoring engineers

Participates in research of technology solutions for new initiatives

Oversees lifecycle management, maintenance contracts, licensing, total cost of ownership, and inventory control of all systems assets

Manages security alerts and incidents, provides timely response and resolution, incident response plans and procedures

Leads security architecture direction for solutions and influences peers, cross functional partners, and IT leadership

Effectively communicates security risk to various audience levels

Leads incident response efforts in the event of security incidents or breaches

Understands and articulates security trends

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering preferred or equivalent experience

10+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security engineering, architecture, and operations

5+ years in a leadership role with increasing responsibilities

Experience planning, implementing, and operating Security & Compliance initiatives

Solid understanding of IAM, Threat and Vulnerability Management, encryption, SIEM and EDR

Strong organizational and management skills; ability to efficiently manage a team and a variety of multiple concurrent projects.

Verifiable track record of effective technical leadership which includes strong strategic thinking and successful project execution with technical and business resources.

Experience designing and building Security systems

Experience managing complex, multi-million $$$ budgets

Experience with contract creation, negotiation, and delivery
