Responsibilities
Oversight of multiple Development managers and cross-functional teams of Software Developers, Test Engineers and QAs
Communicate complex technical subjects with clarity to executive management and to the company at large
Provide leadership and technical expertise in devising corrective/preventative measures that impact the product
Surface best practices, opportunities for improvement and actively participate in discussions and initiatives to continuously drive quality in our software craftsmanship
Influence and support the investigation and adoption of new and emerging software technologies and delivery practices
Understand company strategy and goals and use them to define and drive priorities within your organization as well as across Product & Technology
Hire top talent and ensure the team is equipped with the right competencies to align with the company strategy and goals
Build and maintain a strong network of peers, colleagues, and stakeholders within Dayforce to help influence direction, gather feedback, achieve your team’s goals, and remove roadblocks
Maintain a shared sense of responsibility and collaboration between Platform and the rest of Product & Technology
Manage, coach, and mentor managers and other software development professionals, including performance reviews, salary administration, and career development
Collaborate with Product Management and other Product Development partners to deliver innovative features and solutions that delight our clients
Manage your team's spend on travel, rewards, and recognition activities, and provide input into budget forecasting plans
Foster a culture of ownership and promote a highly collaborative and engaged environment
Demonstrate a robust understanding of industry trends & customer requirements; encouraging continuous learning and innovation
Provide input into the team's Short-Range Planning, budget and forecasting plans for compensation, travel, rewards, headcount, and investments in tools & services

You're super passionate about scalability and have a successful track record building platforms at the enterprise level (that’s a big plus)
Demonstrated ability to make user driven decisions, and a good grasp of UX best practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Great business acumen, and can translate strategic goals into tangible objectives and key results
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective networks and leverage them appropriately
Experienced in recruiting, building, and managing high performing teams
Extensive hands-on experience with agile/scrum principles and development methodologies
Demonstrated ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas with complex dependencies
Effective at coaching and mentoring members of the team, driving engagement and collaboration
Must be a team player and able to thrive within a large global organization
Strategic thinker, able to bring innovative solutions to critical business problems

Deep understanding of mobile application development
Technical plus: Understanding of mobile technologies & Frameworks, API Gateway integration, Azure solution architecture, and knowledge of Large Language Models
