Responsibilities
Coordinate recruiting, development, mentoring, and training of engineering staff.
Establish and maintain engineering procedures and best practices.
Coordinate engineering resources to support EPC Group.
Coordinate engineering work with Project Engineering Managers and discipline Project Engineers to support execution of projects and managing if there is necessity to share resources across multiple projects.
Provide oversite for development of improved document control processes.
Support document control with day-to-day functional issues.
Manage deployment and use of engineering software tools used by staff.
Maintain relationships with potential project engineers of record (EOR).
Assist in the selection of project EORs.
Develop subcontracted scope and participate in subcontract negotiations with the EOR.
Assist in managing the EORs during execution of their subcontracted scope of work by supporting the Project Engineering Managers in tracking quality and timely submission of engineering deliverables.

Required
Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field
10+ years experience in power plant project design and management; Professional Engineer certification preferred
Strong knowledge of/experience with thermal generation, gas turbine and combined cycle projects
Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Prior experience ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to manage the design of multiple complex projects, coordinating the efforts of multiple stakeholders, including vendors, contractors customers, utilities, permitting authorities and professional engineers
Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time
Preferred
Professional Engineer certification
