Responsibilities
Assist the CIO in developing and executing the technology roadmap, aligning it with business objectives.
Monitor key IT projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.
Act as a liaison between the CIO and other business units to ensure IT initiatives meet company-wide needs.
Assist in setting priorities for the CIO, focusing on high-impact projects that drive organizational goals.
Ensure IT teams work collaboratively and are aligned with the CIO’s directives and vision.
Help develop and enforce IT governance policies to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
Represent the CIO in meetings or discussions with vendors, partners, and external stakeholders as needed.
Support the CIO in addressing urgent issues, acting as a trusted point of escalation.
Establish and monitor metrics to measure IT and digital initiatives' success, providing regular updates to the CIO.
Conduct research, gather data, and provide analysis to support the CIO in making informed decisions related to technology investments, resource allocation, and risk management.
Organize and prepare agendas for CIO-led meetings, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Serve as a communication hub for the CIO, ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging across teams.
Promote a culture of innovation within the IT department by identifying emerging technologies and trends applicable for furthering the company's mission and vision.
Drive initiatives to improve IT staff morale, engagement, and retention.
Oversee technology budget allocation and track spending.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
5+ years of experience in IT Management or Project Management roles.
Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional IT projects successfully.
Experience working closely with executive leadership, particularly CIOs or equivalent roles.
Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance, and risk management principles.
Hands-on experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning in IT environments.
Familiarity with key IT tools, platforms and emerging technologies.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data for strategic decision-making.
Strong expertise in project management methodologies.
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Preferred
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in IT Management, Project Management, or Business preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Experience working in energy or power industry.
