Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and manage an expanding team of Accounting and Financial professionals, providing clear guidance, accountability, and growth opportunities.
Conduct weekly 1:1s with team members to identify obstacles, provide support, and foster career development.
Hire, onboard, and train new team members to ensure they are set up for success.
Oversee core Accounting Services (Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bookkeeping), ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time, and within budget. Review team members’ work, provide feedback, and optimize processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with CFO and Tax teams by leading or delegating accounting-related tasks to support cross-functional objectives.
Manage and execute special client projects, such as accounting training sessions, book analysis, cash flow planning (e.g., Profit First), and discovery projects, delegating as needed based on complexity and team capacity.
Plan and strategize for the future of the department and to help in achieving company goals.

Required
Minimum 5 years of Accounting Experience Required in a Leadership role
2+ years leading a team of remote employees
Strong Accounting and payroll knowledge
Experience with QBO and QBD
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
Preferred
Healthcare Accounting and/or CFO knowledge a huge plus
Experience with Project Management Software such as Asana, Notion, Monday, ClickUp, a plus
