Responsibilities
Establish and execute a plan for significant growth across major gift fundraising, annual fund raising and development programs including a strategy for legacy giving.
Direct the development initiative to achieve sustainable increases in donor participation, philanthropic support, and gifting.
Identify, vet and culture relationships with major potential individual and corporate donors.
Identify, develop, and maintain effective systems for the management and tracking of Fundraising activities and provide regular reporting.
Establish the Gift Operating Plan, including a compelling case for support and short- and long-term goals in alignment with the mission and strategy of USAWP.
Lead research, cultivation, and stewardship of major gifts via broad-based solicitation activities.
Measure, monitor, and track outcomes using appropriate criteria to produce accurate budget preparations and project fundraising activities.
Liaise with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Foundation (USOPF) to ensure consistent alignment with messaging.
Drive and support fundraising initiatives in partnership with USAWP Board Members, and work closely with USAWP’s fundraising initiatives related to Olympic Development Program (ODP) and High-Performance Teams.
Generate Development content for both internal and external audiences across various platforms.
Assist with Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
Research, write and prepare grant applications.
Research corporate grant agencies and foundations to identify and development best practices and prospective funding partnerships; and secure the same
Manage the acknowledgment process, recognition programs, and donor database.
Serve as an ambassador for USAWP to align donor passions with USAWP initiatives.
Oversee USAWP fundraising annual timelines and budgets.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required
Demonstrated success in major gift development, donor cultivation, solicitation and maintaining relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Experience engaging a leadership team, coordinating with departments, managing staff and working with Boards.
Solid knowledge of fundraising and foundation management best practices and ethics.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-starter who can formulate strategy and execute independently.
Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects simultaneously.
Excellent research and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word Suite, database, and fundraising software applications.
Must be able to successfully pass a background screening (prior to hire date).
Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date and remain current.
Preferred
Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) is a plus.
