Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and guidance for the engineering department, aligning engineering activities with organizational goals and objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee and coordinate all engineering functions, including quality assurance, testing, production, and collaborate on the research and development of new product lines.
Drive process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across engineering operations.
Lead the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions to meet customer demands and requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including operations, design, sales, and marketing, to support the timely manufacturing of Tate's product offerings.
Contribute to strategic planning efforts by providing engineering insights, identifying emerging trends, and evaluating competitive landscapes.
Manage resources effectively, including budget allocation, capital expenditures, and workforce planning, to support engineering initiatives and projects.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in engineering, and drive their integration into the organization's operations and processes.
Identify and effectively manage engineering-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
Monitor and evaluate engineering performance metrics, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and key milestones, and take corrective actions as necessary to drive continuous improvement.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and foster positive relationships.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in engineering leadership roles, in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product design, development, and manufacturing.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams, delivering results, and driving continuous improvement.
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Familiarity with software applications.
