Responsibilities
Manage, motivate, grow, and develop front-end and back-end development teams while prioritizing their projects and setting objectives.
Work cross-functionally with senior management across the organization to plan the key outcomes for your team that align with our company goals.
Own your teamʼs outcomes for designing, building, testing, and deploying valuable features for our customers.
Communicate your team’s progress across the organization so that we can celebrate our wins and understand our challenges.
Actively participate in scoping, estimating, and code reviews to ensure best practices are being followed for quality and teamwork.
Offer suggestions from your experience to continually improve all aspects of the software lifecycle.
Leverage your experience to help guide the team throughout the software development process.
Hire engineers and support staff and coordinate their onboarding, training, and development.
Meet regularly with each team member to support, set goals, discuss progress and challenges, give feedback, and coach their professional growth.
Collaborate with the product team to align on the most important customer challenges and business needs.
Ensure that the reliability and performance of our platform and internal systems are continuously monitored and improved as needed.
Ensure a thorough QA strategy is carried out to meet our quality standards.
Ensure compliance with security regulations.
Ensure engineering team is utilizing a market-leading tech stack that is reliable, scalable, and reduces development and support costs.
Prepare and manage the engineering department’s budget.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for new integrations with customer and third-party platforms.
Have a constructive voice that adds to our collaborative culture.

Required
Experience managing front-end and back-end development teams
Ability to prioritize projects and set objectives for engineering teams
Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with senior management
Ownership of designing, building, testing, and deploying features for customers
Participation in scoping, estimating, and code reviews to ensure quality
Experience in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing engineering staff
Regular meetings with team members to support, set goals, give feedback, and coach growth
Collaboration with product team to address customer challenges and business needs
Monitoring and improving reliability and performance of platform and internal systems
Implementation of thorough QA strategy to meet quality standards
Compliance with security regulations
Utilization of reliable, scalable tech stack to reduce development and support costs
Budget preparation and management for the engineering department
Coordination with internal and external stakeholders for new integrations
Contribution to collaborative culture
Preferred
Experience with Cloud Native & Knative CI/CD using GitOps
Familiarity with GraphQL, React, TypeScript, TimescaleDB (PostgreSQL), Kotlin, Stream processing (Pulsar), OAuth 2.0
Experience in coordinating with Product, Services, and Sales teams
Experience in continuous deployment practices
Experience in system integrations and DevOps
Experience in monitoring and improving system infrastructure
Experience in leading teams in a SaaS environment
