Responsibilities

Manage monthly close process (currently ~75% outsourced)

Lead the accounting function to execute all accounting processes and activities across the organization to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting and internal policies.

Ownership of day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities in the context of a marketplace company including board reporting, GMV analysis, invoicing and collections.

Collaborate with HR, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure timely two-sided marketplace invoicing, collection, and payouts; sales team commissions structure and payouts; and management of vendor expenses, and revenue recognition.

Coordinate with external stakeholders and auditors to support their quarterly review and annual audit procedures

Partner with other cross-functional teams to develop, support, and improve the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to drive efficiency and provide meaningful financial data

Own budget / variance reporting for board meetings and management reporting
