Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy, targeting new clients and expanding existing relationships. Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine the company’s positioning in the marketplace.
Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within federal and commercial markets. This may include customer contact, opportunity identification and analysis, competitive intelligence, gap analysis, teaming strategy, teaming agreements, and supporting proposal responses.
Review RFPs for content and structure requirements and lead bid/no bid decisions with leadership, oversee the full cycle development of proposals, presentations, and other approaches to secure new business. Lead the development of proposal win themes and competitive positioning, proposal/response process, and collaborate with SMEs and other team members to develop the responses.
Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of internal processes within the team, supporting analysis, prioritization, and maintaining pipelines leveraging software tools such as Zoho CRM and Smartsheet.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, customer concerns, and emerging opportunities within human capital, talent development, and learning services and complementary services. Apply deep knowledge of company capabilities to help align our services with customer needs and issues.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Drive revenue growth through a combination of new client acquisition, cross-selling, and expanding service offerings to existing clients.
Work closely with the finance and operations teams to establish pricing models and set attainable profitability targets for new contracts.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with teaming partners, and key stakeholders in government, and commercial organizations.
Foster relationships with other government contractors, contracting officers and representatives, program managers, and others to shape capture and business development opportunities.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and business goals, and translate those into actionable solutions.
Oversee the Marketing team to develop a marketing plan that supports our overarching plan for business development and growth.
Work closely with internal teams (including client delivery and operations) to ensure alignment of sales efforts with service offerings and execution capabilities.
Identify new ways of working across functions to enhance collaboration and contribution to business development objectives.
Develop and track growth performance metrics to monitor progress, identify challenges, and adjust strategies as needed.

Required

Bachelor’s level degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Instructional Design, Organizational Development).
10+ years of demonstrated experience in the full cycle of professional services, with expertise in developing and leading successful growth strategies, formal proposals, and negotiations. Experience must include a proven track record of success in leading highly competitive capture of human capital, talent development, or learning consulting services and solutions.
5-7 years of progressive responsibility managing portfolio growth efforts with executive-level clients within the public sector and commercial organizations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with prospective clients, partnering companies, and internal stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to business development and growth.
Knowledge of human capital solutions, specifically talent management, organizational development, and learning solutions.
Proficient/Intermediate level skill in the Google Workspace or similar system environment (e.g., Microsoft Office) and its common applications (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, presentations, process maps, shared folder management).
Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
Proficiency with video meeting platforms and features (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

Master’s level degree.
Experience working in a dynamic, small business environment (preferably an 8(a) or WOSB), where everyone is respectful, supportive, and works as a team.
Certification in project or program management (e.g, PMI, Agile, Prince2)
Certification in a relevant discipline by industry organizations.
