Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee a strategic sales plan that aligns with the company’s goals and revenue targets.
Identify new markets, growth opportunities, and potential partnerships to expand the customer base.
Create long-term strategies for market penetration, customer retention, and increased sales volumes.
Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, including setting performance expectations, conducting regular check-ins, and providing ongoing training.
Recruit, onboard, and develop new sales team members to build a high-performing team.
Set clear sales targets and quotas, regularly monitor progress, and motivate the team to achieve or exceed goals.
Track and analyze sales performance metrics (KPIs) to understand team progress, identify areas of improvement, and develop corrective action plans when necessary.
Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and progress toward goals for senior management.
Implement CRM and sales tracking tools to ensure accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Assess and refine the sales process, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance the customer experience.
Work closely with marketing and product teams to align strategies, ensure consistent messaging, and support cross-functional initiatives.
Evaluate and implement technologies that help optimize lead generation, tracking, customer relationship management, and sales automation.
Foster relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
Oversee major accounts, manage high-stakes negotiations, and step in to handle escalated customer issues as necessary.
Develop initiatives to increase customer loyalty and promote cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Develop and manage the sales department’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Monitor expenses and ensure that sales activities remain cost-effective and within budget.
Set pricing strategies, discount policies, and commission structures in line with financial objectives.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential market shifts.
Use insights from research to adjust sales tactics and ensure the company remains competitive.
Identify unique selling points and value propositions to differentiate the company’s offerings in the market.
Collaborate with senior management, providing insights and updates on sales strategy and performance.
Communicate and coordinate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment.
Represent the sales department in company meetings, planning sessions, and industry events.

Required
Proven ability to inspire, lead, and develop high-performing sales teams.
Skilled in setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Experience in coaching and mentoring sales staff, with a focus on accountability and development.
Understanding of sales metrics, financial performance indicators, and revenue management.
Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and make fiscally responsible decisions to maximize profitability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders and internal partners.
Ability to travel to trade shows and other industry events.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant sales experience
Solid supervisory experience in a sales environment, managing a sales team
