Responsibilities
Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy in alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Lead IT operations across multiple clinical research sites and remote teams, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and functionality.
Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights on emerging technologies and recommending solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, and cloud environments.
Manage the relationship with the external Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring SLA compliance and optimal service delivery.
Administer and optimize cloud-based Microsoft Office 365 applications to enhance collaboration and productivity across the organization.
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Lead the implementation, configuration, and technical maintenance of all cloud-based and hosted software systems used by the organization.
Collaborate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth system integrations and ongoing support.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement updates and enhancements to optimize functionality.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration settings, user guides, and technical procedures.
Lead and mentor a team of IT support staff, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
Collaborate with site-level staff and remote employees to identify and resolve IT issues, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.
Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance across all locations.
Ensure IT systems and processes comply with industry regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive clinical data and organizational assets.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a multi-site healthcare or clinical research environment.
Experience managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and cloud-based solutions, particularly Microsoft Office 365.
Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based and hosted software systems.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the clinical research or healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
