Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Marketing Leadership Team to develop, implement, and lead the overall event strategy for industry and company-hosted events, including the conceptual and thematic framework for each event and post-event recaps and recommendations.
Manage and mentor a high performing events marketing team responsible for producing 100+ events annually. Oversee team bandwidth, resource allocation, KPIs, and career path and development.
End-to-end planning and execution of events of varying size, scope and scale, including but not limited to: curating event design experiences that support the event objective, configuring event registration and other technical requirements, and executing event marketing deliverables.
Coordinate with teams across regions to ensure timely delivery of reports, management updates, and data dissemination to internal teams.
Assist in event projections and event road mapping, understanding audience generation, event objectives, goals, budget targets, and analyzing cost and ROI.
Collaborate and report on large-scale strategic projects and timelines related to major company initiatives, events, and goals.
Source, negotiate, evaluate, and execute various venue and vendor agreements. Ability to achieve savings within budget parameters while tracking financial benefits.
Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and identify appropriate new business relationships, championing the more productive partnerships for the company.
Handle branded merchandise, including strategy, merchandise development, procurement, inventory management, and distribution in partnership with our vendors.

Required

A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in event management, managing large scale events, including planning, execution, and reporting.
6+ years of leadership experience where you have coached and worked on career development.
Knowledge of, and relationships with, marquee and five-star event locations.
Experience managing large and complex contracts, budgets, and financial analysis.
Strong project management and communication skills, ability to excel in a deadline driving environment working with a cross-functional team.
Ability to operate and provide value at both a macro/strategy level and a micro/execution level.
Strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, yet able to flex with dynamically changing priorities.
An expert negotiator skilled at negotiating contracts with hotels and vendors to achieve the greatest value.
A demonstrated ability to be poised and effective during high-pressure situations; ability to anticipate issues and have (or quickly develop) contingency plans.
Ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed organization.
Executive presence and ability to work with a wide range of cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, C-level leaders, and other key stakeholders.
A willingness to take on other responsibilities as needed to help lead our next phase of growth.
Willing to travel up to 30%, both domestic and international.

Preferred

CMP preferred.
Professional services or financial services industry expertise is a plus.
Experience using Asana is a plus.
