Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and development of 15 food bank managers, logistics staff and volunteers. Provides coaching and training to build a culture of urgency, safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Participates in, creates, and executes along with the Board of Directors, Executive Director and Deputy Director, the strategic plan and other policies and processes necessary to manage the organizations current activities and its projected growth. Coordinates plans for further development of existing as well as future programs to increase the output and efficiencies of program activities in keeping with the demand of various kinds of food assistance.
Ensures OSHA, DOT and all food safety, sanitation and operational standards are met and adhered to. Provides analysis to optimize logistics network across service areas and among distribution outlets. Successfully develops and manages the operational budget. Analyzes and optimizes warehouse operations, including assessing and evaluating personnel and volunteers. Develops and successfully manages the operational budget.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or related field
Experience in leadership and development of staff and volunteers
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, food safety, sanitation, and operational standards
Experience in budget development and management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred
Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
Experience working in a nonprofit or social services organization
Experience in strategic planning and execution
Experience in warehouse operations optimization
