Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of vehicle transport logistics, ensuring that vehicles are picked up and delivered on time.
Develop and implement operational policies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
Oversee driver assignments and vehicle dispatching, ensuring that the right drivers are assigned to the correct routes.
Monitor fleet status, ensuring that vehicles are available, properly maintained, and meet all regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with vendors (e.g., fuel, maintenance providers) to support efficient vehicle transportation.
Ensure that all operations comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other applicable laws.
Develop safety protocols and implement training programs for drivers to ensure safe vehicle handling.
Monitor driver performance and address any safety violations or incidents.
Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring that expenses are controlled, and the operation remains profitable.
Analyze financial reports to track profitability and operational efficiency.
Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers to optimize costs.
Lead and manage teams of dispatchers, drivers, and support staff, ensuring that each team member understands their responsibilities.
Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees, including drivers and operational staff.
Conduct performance reviews and manage workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and ensure customer satisfaction through quality service.
Resolve customer complaints or issues regarding vehicle deliveries or service delays.
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to improve customer experience and expand the client base.
Oversee the implementation of fleet management software or other operational tools that improve logistics and dispatching.
Continuously explore new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Develop and execute long-term operational strategies to support business growth and scalability.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, or markets.
Continuously analyze industry trends and competitors to stay ahead in the market.
Assess risks related to vehicle transport, such as weather conditions, road regulations, and vehicle breakdowns.
Develop contingency plans for operational disruptions to minimize delays or issues.
Prepare detailed operational reports for upper management or executives, outlining performance metrics, challenges, and solutions.
Use data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery rates, driver performance, and fuel efficiency.
