Responsibilities
Responsible for management of primary market area with respect to origination of new business transactions, development/management of new business referral sources, and establishing/promoting the company’s reputation and competitive position in line with SLR-CS defined product capabilities
Responsible for working collaboratively with SLR-CS underwriters and portfolio management professionals throughout deal life cycle including evaluation, bidding, underwriting and significant portfolio activity.

Required
Minimum 7-10 years in commercial lending, preferably at a top commercial bank or private credit firm
Minimum 3 years in an Origination capacity, and relevant referral source relationships (commercial banks, private equity, investment banks, and advisors)
Minimum 3 years in Asset-Based Lending
Willingness to travel
Proven ability to source, structure, and execute debt financings (alongside underwriting team)
Strong credit acumen, ideally with credit underwriting and portfolio experience
Desire to build new referral source relationships by canvassing and building out new markets for SLR
Proven ability to think creatively to win and close complex transactions
High level of resiliency and ability to troubleshoot due diligence issues
Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting
Preferred
MBA, CFA, or equivalent a plus
