Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Platform Engineering team.

Define the platform engineering vision, strategy, and architecture for cloud solutions within Azure.

Collaborate with other engineering leaders and product managers to align platform architecture with business and technical objectives.

Develop and monitor KPIs to assess the performance and reliability of the platform.

Manage vendor relationships related to cloud services and tools.

Design and implement scalable and reliable Azure-based solutions, including networking, computing, storage, and security services.

Hands-on coding and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate infrastructure and platform processes.

Oversee the infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

Lead by example in troubleshooting critical platform issues, guiding root cause analysis, and providing resolutions.

Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps or other tools.

Ensure security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and monitoring, are integrated into platform designs.

Drive operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and alerting strategies.
