Responsibilities
Define and drive the product vision and strategy for Umbra’s SAR products and customer interfaces, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities.
Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing product team. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, provide ongoing coaching, and support individual growth and career development. Ensure the team has the tools, resources, and guidance needed to succeed.
Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand customer needs, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape in Earth observation and SAR technologies.
Develop and manage a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing backlog features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demands, and business impact.
Actively participate in Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, aligning product priorities with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Coordinate dependencies, set delivery goals, and ensure transparency across teams to meet PI objectives.
Work closely with engineering, data science, and operations teams to ensure product development aligns with technical capabilities and resources.
Engage directly with customers and partners to understand their challenges, gather feedback, and incorporate their insights into product development.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, product messaging, and sales enablement materials.
Establish and track key product performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of product initiatives and make data-driven decisions.

Required
8+ years in product management, with 3+ years focused on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) or Earth observation solutions.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of SAR imaging, satellite data products, and related technologies. Background in aerospace, remote sensing, or Earth observation is preferred.
Proven experience in leading and growing product teams, with a strong track record of delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience working within Agile frameworks, with a strong understanding of backlog management, user story creation, and iterative development processes.
Deep empathy for customers and a passion for solving their challenges through innovative product solutions.
Demonstrated ability to analyze market and competitive data, make data-driven decisions, and develop strategic product plans.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred
Background in aerospace, remote sensing, or Earth observation
