Responsibilities
Develop compelling storylines and pitches
Manage and respond to media inquiries in a timely manner
Assist in the development and execution of PR strategies and campaigns
Prepare executives for media interviews and speaking engagements
Stay current on industry trends and news to identify PR opportunities
Coordinate with copywriting team to draft, review, and edit bylines; manage submissions
Schedule interviews; host when needed
Develop and maintain strong relationships with media contacts across various industries
Create and distribute press releases, pitches and other communications materials
Manage, draft, and submit award and event speaking applications on behalf of clients
Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR campaign effectiveness
Lead client accounts, manage client touchpoints
Respond to client inquiries via email and slack, keep in communication with teams
Set strategic direction for multiple client accounts and oversee account teams
Lead team meetings and provide performance feedback
Develop proposals and participate in pitch presentations
Conduct quarterly business reviews with clients
Provide high-level counsel to C-suite executives
Manage client expectations and resolve escalated issues
Identify opportunities for account growth

Required
8+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or a related field
Proven track record of securing high-quality media placements for B2B tech companies
Proven experience leading client accounts independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong network of media contacts across relevant industries
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in PR software and tools (e.g., Cision, MuckRack)
Willingness to jump in on related tasks as they arise
Preferred
Experience with social media management a plus
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred
