Responsibilities
Support team members in creating high-quality simplified content.
Ensure all writing and editing is done in line with our brand voice and standards.
Implement a robust editorial process, including fact-checking and proofreading, to ensure content integrity.
Keep the team updated on the writing techniques, SEO practices, and industry trends.
Monitor the performance of articles using analytics tools to track metrics such as traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
Represent the written media team in cross-departmental meetings and initiatives.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and future plans.
Support the Content Creation Pipeline, and problem solve as needed.
Assign team members to tasks that meet personal as well as organizational goals.
Lead team/individual 1-1 meetings.
Meet weekly with the Executive Director and department’s HRO (human resource officer) to how the team can better be supported.
Ensure work to be done is logged on the team's dedicated project management system.
Communicate with team members within 24 hours of any requests for help.

Required
Have prior experience writing and editing in a professional capacity.
Understand Search Engine Optimization.
Understand laws and regulations around the utilization of Creative Commons and otherwise classified images and works of art.
Understand how to establish team workflows.
Are comfortable managing a team of 12+ people (cumulative total; inclusive of managers and their respective team members).
Must be based in the United States.
Must speak and write in professional/native-level English.
Must respond to messaging/emails within 24 hours.
Preferred
Experience structuring directing the development of informational content (ideal).
Educational and/or nonprofit background (ideal).
Creative Direction experience (ideal).
Experience writing articles related to businesses or business development (ideal).
