Responsibilities

Provide research on individuals, corporations, and foundations using a wide variety of resources to assess a potential donor’s capacity and propensity to donate and support the solicitation process

Create templates for various types of research profiles including assessments, snapshots, and in-depth profiles to fit the needs of a given strategy

Implement and improve processes for fielding prospect research requests

Research internal giving histories for current LLS donors for inclusion in profiles and to identify upgrade potential and stewardship opportunities

Proactively and independently plan and execute strategies to identify sources of philanthropy using creative research techniques and searching methodologies including batch wealth screens to ensure that frontline staff have sufficient prospects to meet fundraising goals

Conduct relationship mapping between donors, prospects, volunteers, and volunteer leaders to identify philanthropic potential of individuals, foundations, and corporations

Mine and research the external landscape to identify prospects and monitor news alerts on current constituents

Develop and execute strategies to ensure that newly identified prospects are presented and assigned to appropriate frontline staff in a timely manner and through use of Salesforce CRM

Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote Organizational initiatives

Perform other related duties as assigned.
