Early-Career Civil / Geotechnical Field Engineer

Responsibilities
Conducting geotechnical field investigations;
Monitoring heavy civil construction projects;
Civil design, landfill design, and site layout;
Dam and levee evaluations;
Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;
Geotechnical site characterization;
Small project/task management and proposal preparation support;
Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.
Fieldwork: Up to 90%
Overnight Travel: Up to 90%
Current fieldwork is based out of the Red Bluff, TX area.

Required
Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering.
At least 2 years (5+ preferred) of work experience in engineering consulting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Regular field work and overnight travel.
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
Preferred
Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering.
Professional registration (i.e., P.E.)
Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Slope/W, and PLAXIS.
