Responsibilities

Develop new assessments to support core and supplemental Literacy programs.

Revise assessments as needed to address defects and changing market requirements.

Supervise content developers and/or development houses, as needed.

Work with Product Management and Editorial to develop content for assessments to meet the needs of the customer.

Ensure compliance with state standards and instruction in the product lines.

Participate in planning assigned projects; make creative suggestions that reflect an understanding of the marketplace and an awareness of customer needs.

Provide marketing support, as appropriate.

Complete other tasks as assigned.

Required

A BA in a field related to education or assessment is required.

Must be knowledgeable about educational methodologies and Literacy curriculum and pedagogy.

Must be knowledgeable about summative and formative literacy assessments.

Knowledge of Literacy curriculum.

Proficient user of computers and software programs including MS Office (particularly Excel), Google Apps (particularly Google Sheets), and Adobe Acrobat, including use of the comment and editing tools.

Ability to be strategic in planning and meeting schedules, budgets, and accuracy/quality goals.

Strong problem-solving skills in dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced setting.

Good verbal communication skills and strong team-building skills.

Good written communication skills; writing that demonstrates clarity and conciseness, correct grammar, usage, mechanics, and spelling.

Able to respond quickly in an environment of changing priorities. Must be able to set relevant priorities daily as the job requires multi-tasking.

Work habits that are highly productive, working efficiently to develop quality content.

Familiar with CCSS and interpreting state standards.
