Responsibilities
Create and maintain work plans for federal and foundation grant proposals and edit all grant components.
Edit, coordinate, and submit grant applications and manuscripts to journals under tight deadlines.
Work closely with physician-scientists and other research staff to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
Draft letters of support for grants and letters of recommendation for service chiefs.

Required
At least 3-5 years of experience in substantive editing, grants and/or project management, publishing, or equivalent experience.
Experience in the submission of federal grants is preferred.
American Medical Writers Association, Board of Editors in the Life Sciences, or University of Chicago Medical Writing & Editing Program certification (preferred).
Ability to understand and communicate complex information.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Proficiency in bibliographic/reference management software (i.e., EndNote), Office 365, and teleconferencing systems. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Acrobat Writer, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator useful.
An interest in or familiarity with clinical research.
Critical thinking and problem-solving to ensure unforeseen issues are handled appropriately and resolved in a timely fashion.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact across all levels in a confident, professional manner.
Enthusiasm and dedication to MSK's vision, mission and values.
Preferred
