Responsibilities

Create and maintain work plans for federal and foundation grant proposals and edit all grant components.
Edit, coordinate, and submit grant applications and manuscripts to journals under tight deadlines.
Work closely with physician-scientists and other research staff to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
Draft letters of support for grants and letters of recommendation for service chiefs.

Required

At least 3-5 years of experience in substantive editing, grants and/or project management, publishing, or equivalent experience.
Experience in the submission of NIH grants is required.

Preferred

American Medical Writers Association, Board of Editors in the Life Sciences, or University of Chicago Medical Writing & Editing Program certification.
