Responsibilities

Product level electrical design including component selection, thermal system design, assist with mechanical packaging concepts, and interconnection hardware selection/design.

Creates engineering and technical design specifications for power protection systems

Creates and manages design documentation such as bills of materials and schematics

Support qualification/integration of 3rd party devices in power distribution equipment

Conducts hardware design reviews to demonstrate product robustness.

Contributes to customer and manufacturing documentation, test procedures and technical reports

Sustaining engineering support for newly launched and legacy power protection systems

Required

Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and 2+ years electrical design and development experience

Preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of ECN’s, BOM’s, and documentation systems, Autocad, & ERP systems

Proficiency with basic EE tools (Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Signal Generators etc.)

Experience in three phase and electrical power systems

Strong laboratory skills and problem-solving ability a plus

Experience with UL, CSA, IEC electrical safety requirements and EMC requirements relevant to the design of power systems a plus
