Responsibilities

Perform board bring-up tasks and embedded systems development on ARM v8-based platforms or similar architectures.
Develop firmware in C for embedded systems, with a focus on peripherals using protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
Implement and integrate security features in embedded applications.
Work with Linux distributions similar to Raspberry Pi for embedded system development.
Collaborate on the implementation of IoT protocols such as MQTT, LoRaWAN, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, or CoAP.
Leverage knowledge of cellular and satellite communication standards, including 4G, 5G, LTE, and GNSS, to enable connectivity solutions.
Participate in projects related to WaSH or O&G sectors, applying domain-specific insights and expertise.

Required

Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
Hands-on experience with ARM v8 architecture or similar platforms.
Expertise in hardware communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, and UART.
Familiarity with Linux-based embedded development environments and board bring-up tasks.
Knowledge of cellular and satellite standards such as 4G, 5G, LTE, or GNSS.
Strong understanding of embedded security principles and practices.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred

Knowledge of IoT protocols like MQTT, LoRaWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, or CoAP.
Experience with REST APIs and web services.
Industry experience in Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene (WaSH) or Oil & Gas (O&G) sectors.
Understanding of system design for connected devices and IoT ecosystems.
