Responsibilities
Manage projects and related tasks including monitoring project budgets, deliverables, and client relationships.
Support experts in fire, gas, explosion, and plume modeling. Participate in a range of projects including technology reviews, code analyses, and risk analyses.
Participate in new business development through proposal writing and direct sales. Build and maintain client relationships.
Provide expertise and process improvements to authorities having jurisdiction and code councils.
Collaborate on white papers, webinars, code development, industry speaking engagements, and cross-industry and business areas as energy storage permeates maritime, aviation, grid, and oil & gas.
Provide input on strategic planning and marketing.
Support the mission and vision, have fun while you do it, and make a few new friends!

Required
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, batteries, energy storage, fire safety, safety consulting, and/or solar + storage development
Experience in being part of collaborative project team(s)
Comfort with interpreting, analyzing, and synthesizing data using Microsoft Office Suite
Interpersonal skills, and solid speaking and presentation skills
Ability to work within tight deadlines, while being adaptive to changing scope or customer needs
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time
Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred
Advanced degree in engineering discipline or related field
Achievement or plans and ability to achieve a Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) license
Familiarity with the construction and operation of energy storage systems and familiarity with energy storage codes and standards
Business development or involvement in industry groups or committees, delivering publications in trade journals, presentations at conferences
Experience in risk analysis, such as conducting HMAs
Experience in battery testing or battery safety
Experience with energy storage hardware
Experience with utility or industry best practices, guidelines, and standards such as UL9540, UL9540A testing procedures, NFPA 855, or other battery standards
