Responsibilities
Perform and coordinate effluent limit reviews for NPDES permitted wastewater facilities
Giving advice to and developing effluent limitations for municipal and industrial wastewater dischargers
Analyzing impact of new or revised water quality standards
Technical analysis activities in support of TMDL development and implementation

Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or similar engineering field with an environmental emphasis from an accredited engineering college
18 months of engineering experience
Good communication and writing skills
Effective human relations skills to work with clientele and staff
Problem solving skills for resolving technical matters
Ability to bring projects to conclusion
Capable of gaining competency in environmental regulatory processes and procedures
Basic computer skills
Proficient in WORD
Familiar with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge of Tableau
Preferred
Knowledge of engineering principles associated with wastewater design, collection and treatment of municipal (domestic) waste and various industrial waste streams for discharge to a surface waters in compliance with water quality standards
Knowledge of environmental wastewater projects that include treatment system design, permitting, construction, and/or operations
Knowledge of wastewater and water quality standards programs, policies, and applicable state and federal regulations
Computer skills sufficient to use and learn databases
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with representatives of government agencies and the public
