Responsibilities

Plan and work on technology assessment and or development programs to improve productivity, quality, and increase forged product performance.

Provide technical input and metallurgical guidance to Technology, Engineering, and Manufacturing staff for process design and production execution.

Collaborate with customers, suppliers, internal teams to develop or qualify new materials, forged components, and predictive modeling capabilities.

Plan and execute production-type special projects under contract with commercial or governmental customers.

Participate, coordinate, and guide project deliverables across different business locations and report progress to senior leadership.

Assist Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing in areas requiring metallurgical expertise.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience in metallurgical engineering or related field

Knowledge of materials science and engineering principles

Experience in developing materials applications and manufacturing technologies

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Strong problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred

Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field

Experience in predictive modeling

Experience in working with commercial or governmental customers

Experience in project management
