Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise focusing on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security.
Plan, evaluate, recommend, design, operationalize, and support solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
Develop a deep understanding of securities liquidity and funding functions across different asset classes.
Contribute to the technical direction of future versions of the liquidity platform.
Work in a dynamic environment with direct engagement to global stakeholders.

Required

5+ years of Java experience, with a strong understanding of JVM internals
Experience of the Spring stack and experience in microservice development using Spring Boot
Experience in designing and integrating with REST APIs, gRPC endpoints
Experience of messaging technologies (preferably Kafka)
Experience of Hadoop, Spark, Parquet or similar Big Data technologies
Experience with RDBMS, demonstrable fluency in SQL
Experience of Azure (preferable) or AWS, Google Cloud
Experience of Git, CI/CD toolset (Maven / Gradle), Jenkins, working within an Agile environment
Strong understanding of clean coding practices
Bachelor or Graduate degree Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
7 + years relevant experience
Expert knowledge of specific domain or range of engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes and procedures, as well as organization issues
Expert knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices, business / organization, Bank standards, and may fulfill a governance role
Expert knowledge and experience in own discipline; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities
Acts as a key contributor in a complex and critical environment
Understands and supports the Bank's Customer Service Strategy
Leads and contributes to the ongoing improvement of the partner / Customer experience
Be engaged in advancing and sustaining a unique, inclusive culture that reflects TD's diversity agenda, and create an extraordinary employee experience
Participates fully as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment
May provide leadership, training, and guidance to other team members
Ensures ongoing communication with the team on the status / progress of projects and issues / points of interest
Actively shares information and knowledge, and proactively learn from the expertise of others

Preferred

Knowledge of the following would be a plus: Scala, Angular, React, Python, Excel integration, ELK, TypeScript
Experience in collaborating efficiently within a global team
Strong communication skills
Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment, and supportive of flexible goals aligned with business priorities
Knowledge of capital markets products is a plus
