Responsibilities
Hand calculations for determining the stress/strain on a particular section of the seat structure for a given load case
Help with prototype seat builds for various gate deliverables
Lead/assist in the benchmarking activity
Work with cross functional teams within the company to drive the deliverables keeping the timing and cost for the project in mind
Help with the seat mockups within the prototype/current production vehicles
Help run subjective seat performance validations, to help improve seat functions such as massage, heat, vent, comfort

Required
Design experience creating a product in CAD, CATIA V5/V6 is a major plus
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
Basic understanding of electrical and electronics systems
Experience in kinematics
Experience in writing technical reports
Keen eye for detail
Experience working with MATLAB for simulations
Solidworks experience is a plus
Ability to work cross functionally with multiple teams
Strong communication skills
A self starter mentality
Field(s) of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited university
Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS)
Preferred
Automotive experience
Basic knowledge in Electrical/SW fundamentals
Experience building things in past internship or projects
Creating CAD/ section cuts using the 3DX platform
