Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of civil engineering and construction projects within the respective project scope, budget, and schedule.
Track project progress by defining and monitoring metrics for schedule monitoring, budget tracking, and resource management.
Ensure compliance with client contract conditions, including Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises participation.
Deliver profitable projects against metrics and billability targets.
Provide oversight for quality assurance of project teams' work with attention to proper documentation and client expectations.
Monitor work progress for changes to the scope of work and prepare requests for changes.
Develop job estimates, supporting documentation, and project claims.
Provide risk management and value engineering services for projects.
Support partners and client project managers by implementing project reporting and forecasting tools.
Coordinate with multiple disciplines and ensure projects are closed out per client's protocols.
Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to target and win work.
Lead project teams through pre-proposal, proposal, and interview stages.
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring to project team members.
Seek and recruit quality team members to expand company expertise.
Ensure correct and accurate submission of invoices.
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the company.
Foster the company's core values throughout operations.

Required
BS or BA degree in civil engineering, project management, or construction management or related field.
10 to 15 years of relevant professional experience in project management and civil engineering related to construction.
Registered CA Professional Engineer’s License is highly desired.
Demonstrated strong team leadership skills on successfully delivered, large-scale and/or complex projects.
Demonstrated understanding of planning and scheduling techniques including earned value management.
Strong familiarity with construction contracts, specifications, relevant codes and practices.
Demonstrated experience with project proposal and report preparation, presentation skills, mentoring and teaching team members.
Successfully managing complex projects with unrealistic schedules and impractical budgets.
Excellent client interaction and presentation skills required.
Strong experience and ability to problem solve and manage conflict.
Strong skills to plan, organize, multi-task, prioritize, and execute.
Microsoft Office experience, including strong proficiency in Excel.
Excellent influencing, mentoring and coaching skills.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Preferred
MS degree in civil engineering, project management, construction management, or related field preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.
