Responsibilities

Define and drive the technical vision for the BI Tooling & Platform team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and delivering high impact solutions.

Understand the technology in your domain identifying opportunities to improve foundational systems and setting the standard for excellence.

Manage and prioritize multiple projects, delivering high-quality results on time while balancing competing demands effectively.

Design, implement, and enhance systems that power our external metrics, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and efficient.

Elevate code quality through rigorous code reviews, comprehensive testing, and promoting best practices across the team.

Proactively identify and resolve technical debt, safeguarding the long-term maintainability and scalability of our codebase.

Required

Experience with APIs, Java, GraphQL.

Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.

5+ years of industry experience in data engineering/software development, with a proven track record of solving complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions.

Experience managing and coaching 3+ direct reports for growth and success in a fast paced environment.

Proven expertise in coaching and mentoring, inspiring teams to excel and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.

Track record of designing and maintaining robust, high-uptime systems that consistently exceed expectations for reliability and performance.

Experience working with data (SQL, Analysis, Data Engineering).

Knowledge of databases such as DynamoDB, Postgres, or Redis.

Experience with messaging systems or streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Pulsar).

Understanding of frontend development with React and TypeScript.

Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
