Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and inclusion.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Data Science, and Legal to define technical strategies that balance growth opportunities with privacy and compliance requirements.

Set and drive technical direction, ensuring the development of scalable, maintainable, and secure systems.

Oversee the design and implementation of privacy-focused systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics pipelines to enable data-driven decision-making while protecting user information.

Ensure adherence to privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, working with Legal and Product teams to identify and mitigate risks.

Prioritize and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery of impactful features and technical initiatives.

Advocate for and implement best practices in engineering such as code reviews, automated testing, performance enhancements, service-oriented architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.

Own team hiring, performance reviews, and career development to build and retain top engineering talent.

Required

A technical foundation with a BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience and 5+ years in software engineering.

2+ years of experience leading teams as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar role.

Expertise in full stack development and system design, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and cloud architectures.

Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar, and a solid grasp of SQL and database modeling.

Familiarity with marketing systems (e.g., email marketing platforms, tag management, customer segmentation tools, analytics pipelines) and privacy technologies (e.g., data encryption, anonymization techniques).

Experience working with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, including implementing technical solutions to ensure compliance.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
