Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, overseeing all aspects of power transformer design (electrical, mechanical, and controls).
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with the WEG Information Systems team to implement Smart Factory concepts.
Conduct design reviews, optimize transformer designs, and provide feedback to the Service team.
Coordinate with other departments to resolve system issues and provide technical support.
Stay informed about industry trends and identify opportunities for product improvement.
Participate in IEEE meetings and committees.
Develop skills within the engineering team, including sharing best practices across other global WEG locations.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (WEG Code of Ethics, 4th Edition)
At least eight (8) years of proven experience in transformer design and manufacturing.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
On-site work in Washington, MO required.
Current work authorization in the United States.

Preferred

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Proximity to Washington, MO.
Proficiency in software tools (SAP, SolidWorks 3D, Zuken Controls, Statistical Process Control, and other industry leading tools for electrical design).
Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma and Voice of the Customer.
Ability to obtain a work authorization in the United States.
