Responsibilities

Lead the development of a unified platform to enable capabilities across technologies in the data plane.

Drive the technical strategy and roadmap for building and maintaining the API driving the data plane.

Manage and grow a team of engineers, focusing on hiring, retention, and skill development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally using excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Operationalize and maintain highly scalable systems leveraging technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, and OpenSearch.

Required

A demonstrated track record of building a strong core engineering team and engineering team management

10+ years of software engineering experience in all phases of a software development lifecycle

3+ years of hands-on management experience leading engineering teams

Deep level experience with Python development

A solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Broad grounding in all aspects of distributed systems development: understanding of distributed systems concepts and API development

Solid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance

Proven track record of building, operationalizing, and maintaining highly scalable systems

Preferred

Experience with large scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, OpenSearch and Kafka

MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience using python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Celery

Experience with containerization and serverless technologies

Experience with FedRamp
